The 3rd NRC will be hosted in Bogotá, Colombia. Bogotá is
located in the center of the country in a high plateau of
the Cordillera Oriental of the Andean mountain range at 8661
feet above sea level. Columbia’s capital city is border by
diverse habitats including the Bogotá River, the Sumapaz
páramo (moorland), and agricultural pasture. The average
temperature is about 57oF, with seasonal
variations between 18oF and 82oF.
Bogotá is a large metropolitan city that is served by an
international airport and an extensive public transport
system of trains and buses. It is mainly known for its
businesses and political activities, but it also plays an
important role in the cultural and tourist development of
the country. Music concerts, the Iberoamerican Theater
Festival, and other international fairs are among the many
activities that interest tourists and visitors throughout
the year. Bogotá has theaters, museums, national monuments,
and other cultural landmarks to pique the interest of any
visitor as well as the modern Maloka Museum and interactive
center for science and technology. |
